Please remember our Foundation
The Jannette Alexander Foundation for Clinical Social Work Education is a subsidiary non-profit education foundation of the California Society for Clinical Social Work. It was named after Dr. Alexander who was a founder of both the California Society and the California Institute for Clinical Social Work and during her prodigious career, served as President of both.
The benefits of the Foundation are many, including our ability to institute scholarship programs, receive government research and training grants, and offer high quality seminars, conferences and publications. In addition, the tax-exempt Foundation is also a vehicle for charitable donations, estate planning and planned giving.
The Jannette Alexander Foundation is a thoughtful and meaningful way to participate in the growth of our profession through contributions to our scholarship funds
The funds include:
- The Susan Fox Knowles Fund - Graduating MSWs with a focus on clinical social work with older adults with a preference to graduates of U.S.C.
- The Alexis Selwood Fund - Graduating MSWs from U.S.C., U.C.L.A. or the California Institute for Clinical Social Work for excellence in clinical studies.
- The Gerda Lawrence Fund - Graduating MSWs from UCLA with a focus on clinical work with children.
- The General Scholarship Fund - Graduating MSW students from any California accredited graduate program for excellence in clinical studies.
Please consider donating to any of these funds for the benefit of those new professionals who have worked hard to earn a place in clinical social work. If you donate in tribute to, or in memory of other individuals, an attractive acknowledgement card will be sent to the person you indicate. Please include their name and mailing address.
