Mentor is defined as a "wise and trusted counselor." In clinical social work, mentorship is a voluntary process in which developing

professionals may enhance their skills and professional identities through interaction with a role model of their choice. Clearly distinguished from clinical supervision and psychotherapy, clinical mentorship embraces a collegial relationship that is based on shared professional interests and mutual respect.

The California Society for Clinical Social Work invites you to join the

NEW PROFESSIONALS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

A voluntary program to assist new clinical social workers
with professional development and career planning

  • career development
  • practice standards
  • continuing learning needs
  • ethical and legal dilemmas
  • skill development
  • professional adaptability
  • networking

We have established a panel of qualified clinical mentors who can make themselves available to individuals and groups seeking dialogue in these areas.

This program is available at NO COST to CSCSW members.
