Description:  The symbolic language and tools of individual Kalffian Sandplay can be used as a complimentary and easily integrated approach with couples, families, and groups. Employing the basic concepts of sandplay, a collection of miniature figures and a tray of sand, facilitated by a trained therapist, provides a free & protected space and a non-verbal means of expression that has the ability to transform and heal adults, children, couples, families, and groups. This will be a hands-on experiential workshop supported with didactic presentation & written material that will introduce participants to the use of symbolic language and sandplay.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Participants will be able to identify the fundamental concepts of sandplay and how to apply them in their work with couples, families, and groups.
  2. Participants will practice the use and power of symbolic language through group and paired experiential exercises.
  3. Participants will experience and practice using non-verbal facilitation with miniatures and sand.
